Wet cell phone tip

After the long thanksgiving weekend we returned to quite a few messages for help with soaked electronics. The one thing I heard over and over again was I have tried rice but my phone still doesn't work. Unfortunately the most common solution out there is to place soaked electronics in rice for a while to dry them. This is NOT an effective way to dry a wet electronic and the real b bummer is once you try to dry a wet cell phone using rice and try to power it on to see if the rice worked you have killed your phone. By turning on any wet electronic that has not been dried completely you run the risk of shorting out the item and ruining it for good. Wet cell phones can be saved 100% of the time when DRY-ALLs wet cell phone emergency kit is used right away and home remedies are not tried first. Remember if you get any small electronic wet remove the battery and do not press any buttons until it is completely dried. go to www.dry-all.com for more info or find us at any of our retailers.

What to do when a cell phone gets wet by alcohol

With all of the holiday celebrations going on in the coming weeks it is likely someone will spill some sort of alcohol on their phone. If this happens to you follow the steps below to ensure that you save your phone.
1. Remove the battery right away and DON'T press any buttons to see if it works this will kill the phone. ( if you have an iPhone which does not have a removable battery turn the phone off)
2. Rinse the phone completely in water , this will remove all the stickiness and corrosive material from the inside and outside of the phone.
3. Towel off any excess moisture from the phone.
4. Place phone in the wet cell phone emergency kit and seal shut.
5. wait 48 hours
6. your phone is dry and ready to have the battery replaced.

Wet cell phone story ( dog soaks iPhone video)

Here is a funny story for you. We were all enjoying the fantastic 115 degree weather here in AZ this summer by cooling off in the pool. Me in all my intelligence set my husbands iPhone right on the ledge near the spa. My husband threw a toy into the pool for our 80 lb cattle dog Gus who then flew over the phone into the pool after it. I was initially relieved that the phone didn't get knocked into the pool, then it happened, a giant wave followed behind his landing in the pool and completely covered the iPhone with pool water. We actually got this on video from one of the surveillance cameras on our back patio and have since used it in a few of our promotions. Lucky for us we have a few bags of wet cell phone emergency kit on hand, the phone was dried out just fine and ready to use again. for more information go to

Wet cell phone saved by rice? Not quite...

The number one myth found on the Internet to save wet cell phones is to place it in rice. The myth here is that rice is going to do anything to a wet cell phone. Rice is not an absorbent, it only absorbs water when it is boiled in it and left to simmer. A wet phone is not doing to be saved by rice. If rice was an absorbent when you went to get it out of the pantry after a humid season it would be all soggy, that just doesn't happen.
The most effective way to dry a wet cell phone is to place it in the wet cell phone emergency kit from DRY-ALL.
