For anyone dealing with monsoon season right now you know that summer storms can just whip up out of no where. A great example is the crazy dust storm we got here in phoenix two days ago, one minute I was looking at the backyard while cleaning the dishes and the next I couldn't even see our back wall it was so dark and dusty.
The summer season means monsoon storms to a lot of the southwest this means a rain shower can literally appear out of no where. A day at the pool, lake or river can quickly go from relaxing in the sun to scrambling in the rain. A freezing cold rain on a 114 degree day feels great but it can really do a number on your cell phone, ipod, kindle or other gadget that you brought with you for the day.
Do not fear, DRY-ALL products are there for you and your soaked electronics to absorb any moisture out from your electronic and allow it to continue working. Wet cell phone emergency kit, wet smart phone emergency kit, and the wet electronic tablet emergency kit. go to www.dry-all.com for more info.

Wet cell phone tip # 27
I hope you all had a great fourth of July yesterday. It was a great long weekend, along with all the family get together and BBQs there were quite a few people getting in the water to cool off. The phones here were ringing quite a bit with people looking for advice on how to save their wet electronics. I feel like our employees were giving the same advice all weekend long, DO NOT HIT BUTTONS ON WET ELECTRONICS!!! I am not sure why everyone loves pressing buttons on wet devices but it is a sure way to fry your electronics. Think of it like a hairdryer, if a hairdryer falls in to the tub you would never plug it in to see if it works. That is essentially what is being done when the buttons are pressed on wet cell phones, ipads,or other small electronics. The solution is simple when a cell phone gets wet
- do not press any buttons
- remove the battery if possible
- place in the wet cell phone emergency kit (available at a Radio Shack near you)
- wait 48 hours
- replace batteries
Now that your device is completely dry you can press buttons all you want ;)

As Tablet Sales Pick Up So Do Water Damage Incidents
Pc computers sales have dropped 23% last quarter according to Dells report in May. While Pc sales are slowing, tablet computers are selling like wildfire, mainly the iPad. iPads are predicted to sell around 47 million this year and that is out of the 70 million tablets sold worldwide. Tablet computers are definitely becoming more popular however experts agree they are in no way a replacement for the desktop PCs or notebooks. Consumers love the portability and ease of a tablet for checking e-mail, browsing the web, posting on social sites, getting directions, watching movies even presentations for business. Most likely you will not be using a tablet to write up a legal document, term paper, or balance your accounting books.
With tablet computers becoming more and more popular as well as very portable you are likely to have them with you as you enjoy the summer and attempt to escape from the summer heat. More likely than not a tablet or two is going to get wet somehow this summer. Whether you are at the pool, lake, river or beach, it is a risk that your tablet could go for a swim or be exposed to a splash. The hard thing when tablets get wet is not causing more damage by pressing the touch screen ( sending electrical current through the wet circuitry this could cause a short that can not be repaired). You want to turn it off as soon as possible(some tablets will turn themselves off if they get wet, if this is the case DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON) Next you need to wipe off the tablet as best as possible with a towel or whatever you have nearby. Get a wet electronic tablet emergency kit available at www.walmart.com or www.buy.com or www.dry-all.com place the tablet in the bag and zip it shut completely, wait 48 hours and your tablet will be dry and ready to go.
